Elevation program

Elevation program

Elevation’s Mission: To take novel pathways aimed at expanding, growing, building, and discovering new ways to learn and develop.

What is Elevation?

A home-school option

Our home-school option, designed for ASD learners who don’t fit in with the accepted mold, offers an opportunity to create a new framework of education and therapy. With the assistance of a well-trained regimen of developmental therapists, it is our goal to use strengths to build on weaknesses. As we grow, we will learn new ways to accept ourselves and to overcome the struggles we are presented, both internal and external.

Uniquely Attuned for the Learner

With an understanding that no one is perfect, and that aiming for perfection is a goal unobtainable, we don’t aim to do things in a standard format. Our philosophy is that there is always a different way. We utilize the learner’s own goals, skills, and interest to find an agreeable method to promote growth and development. This process involves every aspect of the learner’s life. Including family, education, mental health, behavioral health, long-term goals, dreams, and solutions to furthering all of our ambitions

People Who Care

The setting for our program is in-clinic and directed by a BCBA, lead instructor, and RBTs. (An RBT is someone who acts as a third arm in this process, allowing us to grab and grip onto more than we could ever imagine. With their assistance, we stabilize our program to best work alongside the learner and their family.)

Let's Put It Another Way ...

A great way to think of Elevation is to see it as an alternative to the general education standard. It is meant to be a program where each learner gets their own dedicated approach with the intent to take them #beyond their wildest dreams.

  • Each of the individualized programs are based off an online curriculum but adapted to fit each learner specifically. Each lead instructor will be responsible for (alongside the Elevation team) to develop and put forward a guided lesson plan. All lessons are uniquely tailored to the needs of the learner. We leave no one behind and no one moves forward until they are ready.
  • Each learner will also receive an Individual Development Plan which is constructed through assessments, data collection, and the indirect information gathered through outside entities including the family and medical team. Each IDP is developed by a BCBA and supervised throughout implementation.

An Example Day:

  • 7:30a: our therapists & lead instructor arrives to begin constructing the environment needed for the day.
  • 7:45a: our early drop off begins
  • 8a: All learners are guided through their morning routine by their 1:1 therapist (Each pod will only ever consist of 5 peers to keep things social and manageable at the same time.)
  • 8:20a-10a: Once everyone is prepared, the lead instructor and therapists will start the learning process for the day. (The length of each lesson will vary based upon the specific needs of the learner. Some learner’s may need more or less time on certain topics of skill development. We will let the learner guide us, aiming to keep the learning opportunities both encouraging and fun.)
  • 10a-10:15a: Snack is provided
  • 10:15-11:30a: another block of skill development
  • 11:30a: lunch routine
  • 12p-12:30p: social group/play opportunities
  • 12:30p-2p: skill development extra’s where we focus more on specific development areas that are in need of extra work.
  • 2p-2:30p: free play/social play
  • 2:30p: pick up
